Woman found shot to death inside Homewood home identified by officials

HOMEWOOD, Ill. (WLS) -- A woman was found shot to death at a south suburban home on Saturday afternoon, police said.

Homewood police said officers responded to a report of an unresponsive female in the 2400-block of 175th Street just before 1:45 p.m.

Police said a woman was found dead.

She was identified as Bianca C. Davis, 51, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

The Homewood Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit and the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force are conducting a homicide investigation.
