ROMULUS, Mich. -- What started as a dispute over the sale of a Hummer ended in a shooting that left two men dead in Michigan, authorities said.
Terrance Jermaine Sandles, 46, of Houston, is charged in connection with the murder of two men on Nov. 7, Shelby Township police said.
Shelby Township police learned that three weeks before the shooting, Sandles had reportedly been at the business, arguing and threatening the owner over the $3,000 sale of a Hummer.
"He (Sandles) bought a vehicle...and they had a dispute. He thought it was a lemon. They went back and forth arguing about it, and at a certain point, he just dropped the vehicle off and just left it there," Shelby Township Police Chief Robert Shelide said.
The victims, identified as dealership owner Marvan Batoo, 40, and customer Ghaith Baban, 48, were found shot to death inside the office of Star Auto Sales, a used car dealership in Shelby Township, Michigan, Shelide said. He added that both men were married and had children.
Police say an employee who had been out buying car parts returned and discovered the two victims. Surveillance video showed the men were shot at point-blank range.
CCTV footage later showed Sandles calmly leaving the scene in a rental vehicle. Using surveillance video and Flock cameras, police located Sandles at a hotel near Detroit Metro Airport.

On Monday, Shelide said police executed a no-knock warrant and arrested Sandles in his hotel room. They found him with several weapons and cash stolen from the car dealership.
Sandles was charged with two counts of premeditated homicide, two counts of armed robbery, and several other charges related to the incident, Shelide said.
Police later learned Sandles has a lengthy criminal record out of Texas, including an outstanding felony warrant related to a shooting in Humble in July.
The Shelby Township Police thanked the Michigan State Police, several local law enforcement agencies, and the FBI for their assistance in this investigation.
Shelide said Sandles will likely be extradited to Texas to face his felony charges.
