

MUNSTER, Ind. (WLS) -- A northwest Indiana animal shelter took in dozens of dogs that were rescued from a hoarding situation after a tree fell on a trailer home during strong storms last week.
Humane Indiana in Munster is now searching for new homes for 48 dogs, they announced Thursday.
The shelter had to evacuate last week due to the storms and power outages. Just two hours after it reopened on Wednesday, they took in the 48 dogs.

Humane Indiana is seeking assistance, including bather, adopters and donations.
