
CHICAGO (WLS) -- A pedestrian died after being struck on the Eisenhower Expressway on Chicago's West Side, Illinois State Police said.
The deadly crash happened on Tuesday at about 7:30 p.m. on the westbound lanes of I-290 at Kostner Avenue near the city's Garfield Park and Lawndale neighborhoods, ISP said.
A man ran across the expressway and was hit by a car, ISP said.
The man died at an area hospital.

All lanes reopened at about 11:04 p.m. on Tuesday night.
Why the person was on the expressway was not immediately clear.
