
MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. (WLS) -- A serious crash impacted traffic in northwest Indiana on Saturday morning.
Just after 6:30 a.m., Indiana State Police said eastbound Interstate 94 was shut down about 1 mile west of U.S. 421. That's near Michigan City.
According to ISP, the crash happened in a construction zone and involved four vehicles, including one operated by an impaired driver.
A crash reconstruction team was on the scene.
ISP initially said closures would be lengthy, but later announced that all lanes had reopened just after 7:40 a.m.
Authorities did not immediately provide information on injuries.
