Next block of Obama Center museum tickets to go on sale this week

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A new batch of tickets to the Obama Presidential Center goes on sale this week.

Visitors will be able to buy tickets for visits from Jan. 4 to Jan. 31 on Wednesday, Aug. 12 at 10 a.m.

Once the sale opens, customers will see an estimated wait time.

A limited number of tickets for this coming October will also go on sale at the same time.

Tickets for the museum officially went on sale in May and within the first hour, the first weekend of June 19 sold out.

Admission is discounted for people who live in Illinois. They can also visit the museum for free on Tuesdays.

The museum is the only place on the campus you need a ticket, the rest is free and open to the public.
