CHICAGO (WLS) -- A woman charged with murder in her boyfriend's stabbing death accepted a plea deal Monday.
Keshia Golden pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter.
She was sentenced to 24 months of probation.
Her supporters protested outside the Leighton Criminal Courthouse Monday morning.
She was charged with murder after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend, Calvin Sydney, following a domestic violence incident in 2022.
She was eight months pregnant at the time.
Her trial was scheduled to begin Monday.
The Women's Justice Institute and members of Golden's legal team argued during the rally that Golden was a victim of domestic violence who was defending herself and her unborn child.
