Large fire rips through home in Lincolnwood, officials say

LINCOLNWOOD, Ill. (WLS) -- A major fire ripped through a home early Sunday in north suburban Lincolnwood.

Fire crews arrived to the home near Kolmar and Arthur Avenue and found the garage fully ablaze as flames spread through the roof and into the back of the house.

A box alarm was called to bring additional crews and equipment.

Everyone made it out safely, but the house sustained heavy damage, officials said.
