CloudCenters LLC proposed a 256,000 square foot data center at former The Lockformer Company in January.

The metal fabrication firm is infamous in the area for closing down after facing massive lawsuits in the early 2000s for contaminating local drinking water.

On Wednesday, village officials said the developer withdrew their application at 711 Ogden Avenue.

"Village officials and staff continue to explore additional opportunities for future redevelopment of the site," a village spokesperson said.
