Motorcyclist dies after crash involving another vehicle in Lombard, police say

LOMBARD, Ill. (WLS) -- A motorcyclist died after a crash with a vehicle early Sunday in the west suburbs.

The crash happened around 1:04 a.m. near Finley Road and 22nd Street in Lombard, police said.

A vehicle and a motorcycle collided in the area. The person riding the motorcycle had critical injuries and later died, police said.

The age, gender and name of the person who died were not yet released.

No further information was available as Lombard police and the DuPage MERIT Major Crash Reconstruction Team continue to investigate.
