Man stabbed on CTA Red Line platform in River North, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man was stabbed on a CTA Red Line platform in River North Thursday night, Chicago police said.

The stabbing occurred at about 11:58 p.m. at the State and Grand station.

Police said the 37-year-old victim was standing on the platform when a suspect took out a sharp object and stabbed the victim in the arm.

The victim was transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in fair condition.

Area Three detectives are investigating.
