Metra Union Pacific West train hits pedestrian

GENEVA, ill. (WLS) -- The Metra Union Pacific West Line service has been disrupted after a train hit a pedestrian Thursday morning.

Initially, all Union Pacific West trains were stopped in both directions near Geneva. Police said a man was pronounced dead at the scene.

As of 7:50 a.m., full service was restored with residual delays.
