Monday to be busiest mailing day of the year

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Monday will be the busiest day of the year for the United States Postal Service, as more than 640 million cards and packages are expected to be processed.

Eight million of those will come from the Chicago area.

The deadline to mail in time for Christmas delivery is Dec. 20.
