Chicago's Polar Express train ride canceled for 2nd year in a row

CHICAGO (WLS) -- An annual holiday favorite for families has been canceled for a second year in a row.

The Polar Express train ride will not operate this season because of ongoing street reconstruction above Union Station.

The holiday train was canceled last year for the same reason.

Event organizers say they understand this is an important experience for families and they hope to bring it back in the future.
