Pope Leo XIV gifted Chicago White Sox pope hat

CHICAGO (WLS) -- We all know that Chicago's Pope Leo is a big White Sox fan and earlier this month the Sox hosted a "Pope Hat" giveaway night.

The game sold out with thousands of fans donning the hat. Now, Pope Leo has one for himself.

Fellow Sox fan and Chicagoan, Father Tom McCarthy, has now delivered this less official mitre to the pontiff at the Vatican.

The black and gold hat prominently features the team's white stocking logo. No word if he tried it on.
