
CHICAGO (WLS) -- Employees and patrons of a River North restaurant were robbed at gunpoint Thursday morning, the restaurant manager said.
The robbery took place at about 3:12 a.m. at the Griddle 24 in the 300-block of West Chicago Avenue
Police said three suspects entered the diner, took out guns and demanded money from employees and customers.
The suspects also took money from a register and struck a 23-year-old man in the back of the head, police said. He was transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in good condition.
No other injuries were reported.
The suspects fled the scene in a black sedan going eastbound on Orleans Street, police said.
