Sheila Simon asks to replace Judy Baar Topinka as State Comptroller

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Lieutenant Governor Sheila Simon would like to be named State Comptroller, ABC7 Eyewitness News has learned.

Simon has called Governor Pat Quinn asking to be named to replace Judy Baar Topinka, who died of a stroke Wednesday.

Topinka defeated Simon in last month's election.
