Smash-and-grab thieves cause about $30K in damages, losses at Northbrook smoke shop: VIDEO

NORTHBROOK, Ill. (WLS) -- Police are looking for the people behind an overnight smash-and-grab burglary in the north suburbs.

Three people broke the glass door at Legendary Smoke Shop on Shermer Road in Northbrook around 1 a.m. Monday.

Police say the thieves, who wore all black face masks, cut the security gate and ransacked the store before speeding off in a silver sedan.

Surveillance video captured the crime.

The owner estimates that the thieves caused around $30,000 in damage and losses.

So far, no one is in custody.
