
CROWN POINT, Ind. (WLS) -- A suspect is in custody after allegedly hitting a man and his car when a road rage incident spilled into a northwest Indiana parking lot on Thursday afternoon, officials said.
Crown Point police officers responded to the parking lot of a small business in the 300-block of Joliet Street around 3:15 p.m.
One of the drivers involved in the incident exited his car, and after an argument, the other driver, still in his car, circled him before hitting him and his car.
The suspect left the scene in his silver Buick Encore, heading northbound on Grant Street toward North Street.
On Friday, officials confirmed that a suspect is in custody and charges are pending.
Police said paramedics treated and released the injured man on the scene.
