Video shows aftermath of CPD cruiser crash in Belmont Heights

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A Chicago police cruiser was damaged in a crash on the city's Northwest Side.

Video of the scene shows the CPD cruiser with heavy damage.

It appeared that the SUV crashed into a police and an airbag deployed.

The crash happened near Irving Park Road and Osceola in the Belmont Heights neighborhood.

It's not clear if anyone was hurt.

So far, Chicago police have not released any information on the crash.

A neighbor told ABC7 he heard at least 10 gunshots at about 6 a.m.
