Wisconsin woman charged in Oakbrook Terrace murder, officials say

OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill. (WLS) -- A Wisconsin woman has been charged in the shooting death of a man in Oakbrook Terrace, officials said.

The crime happened on Wednesday, Oakbrook Terrace police said they responded to the initial report of a crash in the parking lot of 2 Trans Am Plaza Drive.

Officers found a victim with multiple gunshot wounds; police said he died at the scene.

The victim was identified as Obaidulla F. Shareef.

Akrystal Woods, 19 of Wisconsin, was arrested the next day in Milwaukee, DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin said.

Woods was charged with three counts of first degree murder.

She will stay in custody in Wisconsin while she waits for extradition to DuPage County.

Wood's next court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday in Milwaukee.
