Woman says male nurse at Barrington rehabilitation facility assaulted her; man charged: police

BARRINGTON, Ill. (WLS) -- Barrington police are investigating an alleged sexual assault at a north suburban rehabilitation facility.

On Feb. 22, Barrington police responded to Alden Estates of Barrington, located at 1420 S. Barrington Road, for a report of a sexual assault involving a resident of the facility, which is described on its website as a transitional care and rehab facility.

A 30-year-old woman said she was sexually assaulted by a male nurse, according to police.

Police said DNA on the victim matched the suspect.

Olufemi I. Olaifa, 40, of Schaumburg was charged with criminal sexual assault in connection with the incident.

He's due in court Wednesday in Rolling Meadows.

Alden Estates of Barrington fully cooperated in the investigation, police said.
