Body of missing man pulled from Woodridge pond, officials say

WOODRIDGE, Ill. (WLS) -- Crews have recovered the body of a man who went missing in the west suburbs last month.

Search teams pulled the body from a pond in west suburban Woodridge on Friday.

Officials now confirm it is that of Mark Sadelski, who was reported missing by his family on Jan. 9.

Sadelski, who police say had a condition that placed him in danger, was believed to have walked away from his residence near 71st and Woodward Avenue in Downers Grove.

Teams had searched the pond before but had to suspend operations because of icy conditions.
