Powerball results: $1M winning ticket sold at Williams Liquor in Elmhurst, Illinois Lottery says

ELMHURST, Ill. (WLS) -- While the $1 billion jackpot prize was sold in California, an Illinois ticket won $1 million in Wednesday's drawing.

The Illinois Lottery said the $1 million-winning ticket was sold at Williams Liquor in Elmhurst at 925 S. York Street.

The winning numbers for Wednesday's drawing were: 7, 10, 11, 13, 24 and Powerball: 24.

There were also seven $50,000 winning tickets sold in Illinois in Rockford, Waukegan, Princeton, Durand and three sold online.

The jackpot prize for the drawing was $1.08 billion, with a winning ticket sold in Los Angeles.

Retailers that sell winning Powerball tickets receive a bonus of 1 percent of the prize amount.

Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

The odds of winning the top Powerball prize are 1 in 292,201,338.

Winners have one year from the date of the winning draw to claim their prize.

Powerball tickets are $2 per play. Tickets are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
