SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. -- A family's San Bernardino home was shot in a drive-by shooting just three days after they moved in.
The Alvarez family moved to a home on 17th Street just days before when the front of their home was riddled with bullets holes, along with their SUV that was parked in the front driveway.
"I was shaking, like I couldn't fall back asleep because I kept thinking and thinking about that," Bianca Alvarez said.
Detectives found shell casings on the street in front of the home and from the placement of the shell casings, they believed the shooters took off westbound on 17th Street.
Neighbors said it wasn't the first time the home was targeted. They stated the home was shot at on Easter Sunday.
"Everybody was having a good time, and then all of a sudden we heard gunfire, and saw two cars spew off," neighbor Brenda Rieken said.
Neighbors said that family moved out the following day.
"If I didn't own my house, I would probably leave too," Rieken said.
San Bernardino County deputies urged anyone with information about the shootings to call (909) 387-3545.
