CHICAGO (WLS) -- Southwest Airlines officials are warning travelers to arrive at the airport at least two hours before their scheduled flight time due to nationwide computer issues.
The technical issues with Southwest.com, its mobile app and reservation centers are causing the airline to process customers manually, officials said.
As of noon Sunday, officials said 250 flights have been delayed out of approximately 3,600 scheduled to operate Sunday nationwide.
"While teams work diligently to enhance the performance of our technology, our airport-based Employees are working with Customers on their individual itineraries and we apologize for the extra effort and delayed arrival of passengers and their baggage," Southwest officials said in a statement.
