Going for 3: Quigley back for All-Star shootout

LAS VEGAS -- Chicago's Allie Quigley, who has won the past two 3-point shooting contests at the WNBA All-Star Game, will try to defend her title here Friday at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.



The 3-point shooting contest and skills challenge both will take place Friday (7 p.m. ET, ESPN). The 3-point shooting contest will be two rounds, with the two highest scorers from the first round facing off for the title. The three-round skills challenge features two players competing simultaneously on identical obstacle courses that test ballhandling, passing, agility and 3-point shooting skills.



Joining Quigley in the 3-point shooting contest are Los Angeles' Chelsea Gray, Las Vegas' Kayla McBride, New York's Kia Nurse, Connecticut's Shekinna Stricklen and Indiana's Erica Wheeler.



The skills challenge competitors will be Minnesota's Napheesa Collier and Odyssey Sims, Chicago's Diamond DeShields and Courtney Vandersloot, Phoenix's Brittney Griner, Connecticut's Jonquel Jones, Seattle's Sami Whitcomb and Atlanta's Elizabeth Williams.



The WNBA All-Star Game will take place Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET and will air on ABC.
