CHICAGO (WLS) -- People living in Chicago's Englewood neighborhood will soon have a new place to visit doctors and pick up prescriptions. St. Bernard Hospital's Ambulatory Care Clinic opens on June 7, 2016. The new 70,000-square-foot clinic was erected on a parcel of land that sat vacant for 30 years on the corner of 63rd Street and Stewart Avenue.
The $33 million, three-story, state-of-the-art building will offer patients primary care and specialty clinics, a Women's Wellness clinic, cardiac testing, radiology services and more. Up until now, residents either traveled outside of their community to see a physician or they simply didn't see any doctors at all. President and CEO of St. Bernard Hospital, Charles Holland, sat down with ABC7 Eyewitness News to talk about all of the benefits the new Ambulatory Care Clinic will provide for Englewood.
There will be a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to commemorate the opening of the new Ambulatory Care Center.
Tuesday, May 31st
Ribbon Cutting begins at 10 am
6307 South Stewart Avenue, Chicago
