Students injured in Belvidere school bus crash

BELVIDERE, Ill. (WLS) -- A number of students have been injured in a school bus rollover crash outside of far northwest suburban Belvidere, officials said.

School officials said the accident occurred along Orth and Beloit roads in Boone County between a car and the school bus, causing the bus to roll over. The bus was carrying middle school students from the Belvidere School District. Injured students were taken to various local hospitals for treatment.

The details of the crash were not immediately clear. School district officials said the students suffered non-life threatening injuries.
