A Delta pilot arrested after landing at a San Francisco airport has been charged with several felonies related to the sexual abuse of a child, officials say.
A passenger aboard a flight traveling from Poland to John F. Kennedy Airport had to be restrained after he went up to the cockpit door and started banging on it, according to officials.
The TSA said in a statement released Sunday that it reviewed Friday's incident and found the agents did not fully use the technology at their disposal which would have identified the box cutters inside the passenger's carry-on luggage, nor did they follow protocol when they returned the "visible blades" back to the passenger after an inspection.
The airline said a disruptive passenger had to be removed from the flight by law enforcement after landing.
"That's not going to happen again," one of the veterans said as he explained he joined the Navy in 2001, and 9/11 was at the forefront of his mind during this flight.
The airline says the passenger, who had to be duct taped to his seat, punched a female flight attendant over his refusal to put a mask on.
