Luxury pet airport pet terminal planned for Kennedy

NEW YORK (WLS) -- A luxury terminal is coming to New York's Kennedy Airport -- but it's only for animals.

The terminal will be called "The Ark."

The space will feature customized departure lounges and around-the-clock medical care. A dog-bone shaped swimming pool is also planned.

The terminal will welcome common house pets along with horses and livestock.

The ark will open sometime next year.
