CHICAGO (WLS) -- The city of Chicago agreed to review 9,000 red light tickets issued during spikes in ticketing.
Department of Transportation Commissioner Rebekah Scheinfeld made the announcement Wednesday after a Chicago Tribune investigation found unexplained spikes in ticketing at a dozen locations.
The city will send letters to drivers who qualify, telling them they can ask for a review. If the ticket is not warranted, the driver will be given a refund.
