St. Patrick's Day celebration helps Mercy Home for Boys & Girls

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Mercy Home for Boys & Girls is celebrating St. Patrick's Day, while raising the money it needs to care for children and families in crisis.

The non-profit's March for Kids celebration, kicks off Saturday after the St. Patrick's Day parade.

Communications Director Mark Schmeltzer joined ABC7 to talk about the purpose of this post-parade party.
