WAUKEGAN, Ill. (WLS) -- Lake County Sheriff's Detectives arrested and charged Erick Arroyo Acosta, 19, with traveling to meet a minor and unlawful possession of alcohol Friday.

Police say Acosta contacted a person he believed to be a 14-year-old boy online using a mobile social networking app, but the boy was actually a detective with the Lake County Sheriff's Office Cybercrimes Unit.

Police say they arrested Acosta after he requested to meet with the "boy" to engage in sexual acts.

Acosta is charged with two felony counts of traveling to meet a minor and one misdemeanor count of unlawful possession of alcohol. He is being held in Lake County Jail on $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 9.
