Wheeling hosts Taste of the Town

WHEELING, Ill. (WLS) -- Some of the top restaurants from Wheeeling are inviting all foodies to try their best at Wheeling's Taste of the Town. Now in its 17th year, the event attracts visitors from all over the Chicago area. You can try it for yourself on September 28, 2017 from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the Westin Chicago North Shore. Tickets are $35 in advance and $45 at the door.

Vistors to Wheeling's Taste of the Town can enjoy samples from dozens of restaurants. Taste of the Town participants for 2017 include Allgauer's on the Riverfront, Benihana, Big Bowl Chinese & Thai, Bob Chinn's Crab House, Buca di Beppo Italian Restaurant, Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant, Liquor Barn, Market Square Restaurant & Catering, Mexcal Mexican Grill and Bar, Pinstripes, RAM Restaurant & Brewery, Rammy's Sub Contractors, Salata, Saranello's Ristorante Italiano, Superdawg Drive-In, Tuscany Wheeling, Twin Peaks, Wa-Pa-Ghetti's Pizza, The Westin Chicago North Shore, and Wildfire.

Frank D'Angelo from Tuscany Wheeling, Chef Raymond Mendez from Benihana, and Victor Rangel from MEXCAL Mexican Bar & Grill visited Eyewitness News to preview the night of fun. ABC7 Chicago also got a first taste of MEXCAL, which opens Wednesday.
