Zion man charged in woman's Va. death

A man suspected in the 2005 deaths of two young girls in Zion has now been charged with the murder of a woman in the Navy.

Jorge Torrez, 22, of far north suburban Zion, is now charged with first-degree murder in the death of Navy Petty Officer Amanda Jean Snell.

The 20-year-old was killed in 2009. Her body was found in the barracks at an Arlington, Virginia, military base where Torrez was a Marine corporal.

Torrez is also a suspect in the 2005 murders of Laura Hobbs, 8, and Krystal Tobias, 9, in Zion. He is already serving five life sentences for rape and robbery in unrelated cases.
