Tuesday is first day of school for CPS | Free CTA rides for students all day

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago Public Schools students will begin the first day of classes on Tuesday, September 8.

CPS has tips, school hours, immunization information and other resources on its back to school page, http://www.cps.edu/pages/backtoschool.aspx.

The site also boasts free rides on CTA buses and trains for CPS students and accompanying adults between 5:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. on the first day of school.
