HOMEWOOD, Ill. (WLS) -- South suburban police said Tuesday that someone shot and killed a woman in a home before turning the gun on himself earlier this month.

Homewood police said Carlos Jones drove to 51-year-old Bianca Davis' home June 6 in the 2400-block of 175th Street. About 10 minutes later, he was seen leaving.

Davis' family later found her shot to death, police said.

Jones and Davis had previously dated. Their relationship ended months earlier, police said.

On June 8, Jones was found dead in his home in the 17600-block of Dixie Highway.

Police said he had shot himself.

The evidence police gathered indicate Jones fatally shot Davis, police said.
