SANTA CLARITA, Calif. -- The two people sought in a selfie that showed up on a burglary victim's cloud account have been identified and are cooperating with authorities.

On Wednesday afternoon, Santa Clarita deputies investigating a residential burglary released the selfie photo, calling the two people in the photo "persons of interest."

The man in the photo had apparently received the phone from his aunt, who purchased two phones at the San Fernando swap meet for $80.

The family contacted the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department to clear the mix-up and have been working with detectives.

Anyone with information about the ongoing burglary investigation is asked to call Los Angeles Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.
