United CEO Oscar Munoz home from hospital after heart transplant

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The CEO of United Airlines is heading home after a successful heart transplant operation.



In a letter to employees Friday, Oscar Munoz said he feels as strong as ever after undergoing surgery at Northwestern Memorial Hospital last Wednesday.



Munoz had been out on medical leave since he suffered a heart attack in October.



He said his new heart makes him feel like he's been give "a new set of wings" and looks forward to transitioning back to work.
