CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University celebrates 125 years in Chicago. The national historic landmark opened its doors in Dec. 9, 1889.
A star-studded gala scheduled for Tuesday night will include performances by Patti LuPone, the Joffrey Ballet, John Mahoney and the Apollo Chorus, among others.
Mayor Rahm Emanuel declared Tuesday "Auditorium Theatre Day."
