All inbound lanes of the Eisenhower at Cicero Avenue were shut down for hours on Wednesday morning.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Two people were hurt in an early Wednesday crash on the Eisenhower on the city's West Side, Illinois State Police said.

The crash happened around 2:32 a.m. at Cicero Avenue near Kostner in the Lawndale neighborhood.

Two cars were involved in the crash. Chopper 7 was at the scene and showed a silver sedan and a dark-colored sedan.

A driver and passenger of one of the cars had serious injuries and were taken to the hospital, ISP said.

As a result of the crash, inbound lanes of the Eisenhower were shut down for hours as authorities worked to clean the area.

All Ike traffic was diverted off the expressway at Cicero Avenue.

All lanes reopened around 6:30 a.m.
