3.4 earthquake reported near Somonauk, Illinois, US Geological Survey says

SOMONAUK, Ill. (WLS) -- A 3.4 earthquake struck part of DeKalb County Monday morning , the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The earthquake struck at about 2:53 a.m. and was centered two kilometers northwest of Somonauk, the USGS said.

The earthquake had a depth of 9.8 kilometers, the USGS said.
