Chicago Bears fans ecstatic about home opener win over Tennessee Titans: 'This is our year'

What a second half that was. In true Chicago Bears form, Sunday's home opener was a rollercoaster of emotions fueled by optimism that the team may, in its new quarterback, have finally found "the one."
"That was definitely a rollercoaster," said Bears fan Ryan Berry.
The excitement was off the charts as Bears fans left Soldier Field Sunday afternoon, buoyed by a 24-17 score that kept folks on the edge of their seats nearly until the end.
"I was ready to leave when it was 17 to nothing. And they came back and scored 24 points," said Bears fan Mike Zacker.
And while it is only game one, the victory provided a much-needed release for fans who have been nervously waiting to see how their first-round draft pick rookie quarterback Caleb Williams would do now that the regular season is underway.
"You can kind of feel it in here. Everybody's nervous. Imagine how the team is feeling. Imagine how Caleb is feeling," said Bears fan Chris Wall.
"It seems every year, we get disappointed. Our hopes are high the first day. But I'm telling you, we're turning around. This is our year," said Bears fan Michael Bugno.
All day the tension has been building. In the South Loop Sunday morning, those who know, know that Reggie's is where it's at. They opened early to accommodate fans looking to pre-game before shuttling those with tickets to Soldier Field and back.
For those left behind, the rooftop bar is where the watch party happened. And Sunday, what a watch party it was. Bears fans were being Bears fans, but they still tried to manage expectations.
"I've been alive for one Super Bowl, and we scored one touchdown in the opening play and that was it," said Bears fan Stuart Turnbull. "I want my own version of that."
"If we make the playoffs, I think this city is going to be buzzing. I'm ready," said Bears fan Justin Caraeine.
