Man critically hurt in shooting; SWAT situation ends on South Side, Chicago police say
A shooting left one man critically injured on Sunday and led to a SWAT situation on Sunday.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A SWAT situation ended after hours on the city's South Side after a shooting, Chicago police said.

A man was shot in the 10500-block of Cottage Grove Avenue around 2:13 a.m.

Chicago police said the man took himself to the hospital. At last check he was in critical condition.

After the shooting, Chicago police declared a SWAT situation.

CPD said at least two people were barricaded inside a residence on Cottage Grove Avenue.

A second shooting victim was taken to the hospital with a graze wound. Police said they are expected to be OK.

As of 9 a.m. Chicago police said the SWAT situation ended "without incident."

One person was taken into custody.

No other details were immediately available.
