Car crashes into home in Skokie
The Skokie fire chief said no major injuries came from the crash.

SKOKIE, Ill. (WLS) -- A car crashed into family's home in the north suburbs on Monday evening.

The crash happened at about 7 p.m. near LeClaire and Harvard in Skokie, fire officials said.

The driver of a Honda Civic was driving eastbound on Harvard Terrace and reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign, according to officias.

The driver crashed with a Lexus RX300 traveling northbound on LeClaire Avenue.

The impact casued the Lexus RX300 to crash into the west brick wall of a house.

One person was taken to the hospital; however, they are expected to be okay.

Video shows a hole left on the side of the brick house.

Officials said the building was deemed safe and habitable.

The driver of the Honda Civic was cited for the traffic violation.
