Man shot near currency exchange on North Side: CPD
A man was shot Saturday near a currency exchange and the CTA Red Line on West Howard Street in Rogers Park, Chicago police said.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Three people were shot Saturday near a currency exchange on the city's North Side.

The shooting happened around 5:20 p.m. in the 1600 block of West Howard Street in Rogers Park, which is also near a CTA Red Line station, Chicago police said.

Initially police said only one man had been shot. CPD later offered more details.

A 35-year-old man was shot in the chest and his left hand. He was taken to an area hospital in critical condition, CPD said.

A 42-year-old man was on the sidewalk when he was hit by gunfire, police said. He was taken to a hospital in good condition.

The third victim, a 30-year-old man, was grazed by a bullet to his left hand and left hip; he is expected to be OK.

No one was in custody as Chicago police continue to investigate.
