Newsviews: Candidates in race for Illinois' 4th congressional district

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Incumbent Democratic Congressman Luis Gutierrez faces former radio personality Javier Salas in Illinois' 4th congressional district.

Gutierrez was first elected to the 4th congressional seat in 1992. He may be best known for his work on behalf of immigrants.

Besides being on radio, Salas was also an advisor to former Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn.

Salas says that in both of those roles, he's fought for working families. He and Gutierrez sat down and spoke with us for this week's Newsviews.
