Adams Street bridge to close for construction in West Loop

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The West Loop may be in for more traffic than usual.

The Adams Street bridge over the south branch of the Chicago River will be closed for reconstruction.

Pedestrian access over the bridge to Union Station will remain open most of the time.

However, that walkway will occasionally close during the course of the work.

The bridge is expected to be closed to traffic for 13 months.
