Man proposes outside Adler with movie of every day of last year

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A local man is the star of a real-life romance after proposing outside the Adler Planetarium with a video he shot every single day last year.

Josh Scmitz surprised his girlfriend Danielle Roesch with a big gathered of friends and family, and a large screen. On the screen he revealed a video he shot every single day last year, using a message board to share his feelings.

The last message was a question he asked in person. She said yes.

"That was permanent marker. We can frame it and look at it 50 years from now on the wall," Schmitz said.

Schmitz said the video was a lot of fun to make and he's not sure what he'll do tomorrow morning now that it's done.
